In Memory Of Stephen Covey

elegant white rose in memory of Stephen Covey

Two weeks ago I visited Amsterdam with my mom, to the trip I took Stephen’s Covey’s book the “The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People“.

I had that book for a while but I couldn’t find the time to read it, I thought it’s going to be one of these heavy books about how to change your life with lots of great yet unattainable examples.

So I took it to the flight to pass the time.

I was enchanted.

It was the best self coaching book I have ever read (and I read plenty). It gives very practical how to be a more effective person in your life and in the different roles you play as a spouse, parent and a business owner. Stephen Covey shares personal stories from his life as a father and a husband, everyday dilemmas and thoughts.

Every word in the book impacted me in so many levels.

The book was written almost 20 years ago, and still everything is as valid today as it was back then.

Today Stephen Covey has passed away. Although I didn’t had the privilege to attend one of his seminars or meet him in person, for some reason it feels like I lost a really great man who has impacted my life far more then he’ll ever know.

RIP Stephen Covey and thank you for inspiring me to want to be a better person, a mom and a wife.
